Hello From Cyndi
HEALTH COACH | SYSTEMS THINKER | ENGINEER | AUTHOR | SUP Surfer
Welcome to my corner of the internet, where I share my thoughts on health, fitness, and the environment. I want to make eco-friendly living accessible to everyone, while also promoting personal well-being.
I have spent my career carefully considering how to design systems that can effectively address problems. When I analyze things, I look at everything together and see how they all fit. Many times my work feels like solving a puzzle.
A passion for optimizing health and fitness stems from my belief in the deep connection between the environment and our health. The state of our planet has a direct effect on our health, and the reverse is true too. Little improvements can go a long way in making us healthier and happier while benefiting the world around us.
The Cleaner Planet Playbook merges knowledge from two spheres to show how our well-being and the planet’s health are related. The Cleaner Planet Playbook, became a #1 International Best Seller on March 29, 2023.
My engineering work has been awarded US patents and trade secrets. In the health and fitness field, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of exercise and healthy habits.
With this book, I hope to motivate you to make small lifestyle changes that can have a big impact on your health. These changes can help the planet’s health too!
I spend most of my time in Arizona. Since my home is hot and dry, I like to to travel to the beach for some fun in the ocean while on the road.
Health and Happiness
We humans know that happiness and good health go hand in hand; when we’re happy, we feel healthier. While certain physical health indicators can be measured, happiness is a concept that is unique to each person and can take on many shapes. One way to find joy is by aligning with something bigger and beyond ourselves. By revitalizing our health while pursuing a higher goal like saving the planet, we can double down on our effort to increase our well being. Sometimes people feel stuck when they want to make changes in their lives. I break down the problems, look for ways to make change easy in the beginning with small steps and then continue to tap into what has individual meaning to drive motivation to carry on.
I have set four intentions for daily well-being:
- eat clean
- move often
- challenge daily mindset
- find joy in the journey
My aim is to improve people’s lives by showing them how small actions create a big impact and I am big fan of using positive motivation to inspire change. If you are like me, you want to wake up feeling energized and go to bed feeling fulfilled. We have to take the right steps to get to that goal, feeling the progress as we go. My approach is to start with small, easy steps to make change, and then look for things that have personal significance to keep the momentum going.
